Harpers was formed 12 years ago in a small village of Wetwang in East Yorkshire. It was founded with the ambition to provide the best quality fish and chips and service to the customers in the area. Passing holidaymakers visiting the Yorkshire coast made the habit of stopping off at Wetwang to enjoy our delicious fish and chips. Habit turned tradition and the large amount of tourists passing Wetwang allowed the small shop to take off, and provided an image and foundation to the ever growing business. What also made Harpers such a success, was the staff, as they were always friendly and treated locals and tourists with equally high respect.
What sets us apart is our attention to detail and focus on quality. In all we do, from building a new restaurant to choosing our people and preparing our food, we are passionate about doing everything to the best standard possible.

The Harpers chain of takeaways and restaurants now have 10 outlets spanning North & East Yorkshire, and with the help of its main partners, we continue to expand our reach and increase our quality. Every new shop gives us an opportunity to innovate and fine-tune the experience we offer, from our first restaurant in Brandesburton to our new range of gluten-free products.
